Modern Moai (click to enlarge)

This is the first installment of a comic strip I recently began work on. Heavily influenced by such great strips as "Calving and Hobbes," "Zits," "The Far Side" and my love for sequential art in general, it's titled "Modern Moai" and it chornicles the happenings of a 20 something single computer programmer (Carl) and a floating, talking minature Moai (the giant stone heads on Easter Island) who has recently taken up residence with Carl. Whether they're encountering a variety of otherwordly creatures in bygone deminsions or just lounging around the house, Carl and Mo are always finding themselves in a pridicament.
This is the first handful of strips but there are many more to come. It gets weirder as the series goes on ; D
The ugly birth of The Coven....
Hey everyone, my name's Nate and I finally decided to get my fingers working on creating a blog page that I could use predominantly for my artwork and networking with other artists whose work I enjoy. I also figured this would be an ideal spot to post an ongoing comic strip that I've recently started working on. Perhaps you'll like it, if so, that's awesome.
I'll also be posting some little peeks inside sketchbooks, other stuff I've done and think is fit for showing and probably links to stuff I'm digging the hell out of at the moment. You know, all that traditionally artsy fartsy stuff.
